本校の教育方針の一つに、国際化・情報化社会に適応する人材を 育成することが求められています。まさに21世紀は国際交流社会 の時代です。本校では入学次に「留学」を希望すれば二年次に一 年間の英国留学が出来る制度です。人間として留学経験は「生き る」ための根源となる個性と能力を伸ばす大変貴重な体験となり ます。なぜなら、言語を含めて他国を理解することで、私達は自 分達の国民性を理解し、本当の意味での個性にたどり着くことが、 可能となるからです。そして、この留学で、英国(外国人)と日 本の同質な部分を知った上で、それぞれ個性のある国になってい るということを知ってもらいたいのです。 「一年間の留学」ということで少し不安になる人もいるだろうと 思います。しかし、一年後あなたは驚くほど自分が変わっている ことに気づくでしょう。

Ruth Linden(敬愛学園高校元留学現地コーディネーター)の紹介

Mrs. Ruth Linden is a founder of the study abroad programme at Keiai Gakuen Senior High School. Mrs. Linden has been designing and organizing study courses in the UK for Japanese students since 1988. Mrs. Linden coordinates the KGSHS study abroad programme in the UK and ensures that close communication between all the KGSHS educational partners is maintained. Mrs. Linden provides KGSHS staff with current updates about the English educational system for the benefit of our school and our students.

Diane Ray(シェフィールドカレッジ・International manager)による学校紹介

The Sheffield College is one of the largest colleges in Europe. Sheffield is in the North of England and is the fourth largest City, with a population of over half a million. The total student population at The Sheffield College is currently just over 30,000, approximately 200 of which are International students studying on a variety of courses. Some studying General English full-time and others studying on mainstream academic and vocational courses. The International Office is at Castle College, in the Student Services area. This is 'home' for Mim Woolley, International Administrator and Diane Ray, International Manager. The office is open weekdays from 9 am until 5 pm and we also have two, 24-hour emergency telephone numbers for students to use. Homestay is the recommended method of accommodation for international students. The students have their own bedroom but live as part of the family and it is an excellent opportunity to practise and improve their English.
